Fresh Produce

The local tomatoes are coming in and the blueberries are at their peak!  Taste the Red Haven peaches and plums.  Revel in the local produce!

Three Oaks: Saturdays 9-1 pm.  Strawberries are in, some late asparagus.  Wild ramp ( or gather it from the roadside).  Visit Barb for her exuberant floral arrangements and salad greens.  Visit Jane for her bread, hummus and other goodies that change weekly.  Visit Seven Sisters Farm for garlic and greens and the Bot Bakery folks for vegan, gluten free delicious ( really) goodies that are also good for you.   This is my "home" market, full of lovely people and stories.  Get to know them and the food that they grow and grow your connection to your food. 
Harbert: Saturdays 9-2 pm at Harbert Park and Tuesdays 5-7 at Soe's  The newest addition to the farmers markets, the Shore of Plenty market is small, but enthusiastic and growing.  Flowers galore and I will report what else this weekend.

New Buffalo: Saturdays and Sundays 9-2.   The "grand mere" of the markets, this is a European market, with jewelry sellers, clothing sellers, food vendors, cheese and bread vendors.  Local Charlie Moore's Seasons Harvest condiments are sold here.  Visit for a fun morning.
